About the CPD

Established in 1903 and relocated in 1928 from Pokfulam to Stanley, St. Stephen’s College has played a key role in the development of education and the history of the Japanese Occupation in Hong Kong. Historic buildings from different periods with diverse architectural styles spread across the campus.  The College as a highly regarded school has nurtured countless outstanding students for society.

With a number of historical and cultural assets, the St. Stephen’s College Heritage Trail was established in December 2008 to showcase the rich legacy of the College to both students and the public. Heritage Society was formed to train students as docents of the Trail. It helps enhance the students’ connection with the historical campus. The Trail consists of 9 points that links both historic buildings and memorial sites. In 2011, the School House of St. Stephen’s College was declared as a monument. In 2010,  7 buildings in the campus were accorded Grade 2 status and 4 buildings were accorded Grade 3 status. Bungalow No. 1 of the College was revitalised as the Heritage Gallery which exhibits the artefacts that witness the history of the College.
