About the CPD
Lo Pan Temple is a well-recognised historic temple in Hong Kong dedicated to Lo Pan. It was first built in 1884 and rebuilt at the same site in 1928. Architecturally, the temple has a wide range of artworks and decorative elements, including shiwan ceramic figurines, clay figurines, wood carvings and murals, to name a few. Having recently being declared as a Monument of Hong Kong, Lo Pan Temple has also completed its major restoration, repair and maintenance, including the rare repair of shiwan ceramic figurines at the two main ridges. This CPD enables participants to have a chance to appreciate the beauty of the Temple, but also to understand more about the process and challenges for the restoration, repair and maintenance of the Temple.
