About the Event
AIA is pleased to host an outdoor cinema at Central Market with Designing Central and HKICON to celebrate the re-opening of this historical building.
Central Market has just recently opened up after a decade-long revitalization process. From a fresh food market in 1939, it has now been transformed into an important public space and ‘Playground for all’ in the heart of Hong Kong.
We will show a 28-minute documentary, “The Dessau Bauhaus” at the outdoor courtyard, followed by a panel discussion with our guest speakers Dr. Han Man, faculty of CUHK Architecture and Fredo Cheung, former Vice President of HKICON on “Bauhaus in Hong Kong”. As the event will happen on a ‘Playground for all’, be prepared to stand up, move around and play!
