About the CPD Talk
UNESCO will zoom into the two new projects that have been awarded an inaugural “Special Recognition for Sustainable Development,” including Lai Chi Wo Village, Hong Kong. The Lai Chi Wo team/HKU will share their project from the perspective of environmental, economic and social sustainability. Additionally, one of the winners from UNESCO’s recent TechCul Ideathon (identifying innovative tech ideas to address culture challenges) from Hong Kong who proposed a new platform for connecting people with rural folks and lifeways, will share their project and way forward. As both of these projects will now move into a mentorship programme under HKU, this will be an opportunity to see how digital transformation could facilitate and create new opportunities for sustainability as well.
